This week, let's take a close look at depression and anxiety and identifying moods.
If you are fighting depression, you look back at life and feel a failure. You then project this into the future and presto changeo, you have depression. If you are anxious then you project fear into the future. Neither is correct or true. You are here reading this post and you have made it this far in life so you have won most of the time. You are here, you get up and you show up in life, somehow someway, you do it.
If you are having difficulty identifying your moods, you may want to take a look at a mood list.
Notice who, what, where, and when that these moods increase or decrease. Complete a mood chart.
Just for today, I am going to ask you to make changes in your thinking. Watch your thoughts as much as you can and notice the negative things that float by. What do you notice? Do you blame yourself or others for something? How can you change the thinking from problems to possibilities? Make a list and share here if you would like. If the negatives seem to be taking over, you can share those as well. No blame no shame here, just working on going forward and getting stronger.
