My son, in his 20s, is struggling with anxiety. Only recently have I begun to understand the depth of it. My own long ago experience with panic attacks makes me respect his challenges but gives me no roadmap to guide him.
We're in W.Pasco and are trying to sort this our on our own. The support groups we've found so far have been distant or female focused but we continue to look. Our efforts to get usable medical insurance have been frustrating. In general, we've not a lot of resources.
So, we're still starting out. We're looking for guidance, referrals - anything that will help us gain some direction. Any feedback you could give would be helpful.
Thank you for reading.

I would suggest you try the book: Feeling Good Handbook by David Burns. He will learn to watch his thoughts and pay attention to how realistic his thoughts are, another thing would be to look up, ANTS Automatic Negative Thoughts. He may also want to try a group that is free and meets at 2pm on Tuesdays, at St Michael's Church, it is called Recovery International and the guy that started it wrote a book called, Mental Health Through Will Training and his name is Abraham Lowe. He may also want to consider using You Tube as a resource and looking up over coming anxiety.
