So what are you telling yourself today?
Do you have ANTs in your head?
Think of a time when you thought you must behave in a certain way or that people should behave in a certain way. Was it helpful? If others do not respond the way you want them to, do get upset? Are you thinking that you should be more, or have more? Automatic thoughts will rein in your head and it is easy to see how one can go off "the deep end". by being controlled by thoughts. Two examples of this are en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Hughes who suffered from obsessive compulsive disorder and there were many more, that seemed to have everything, but suffered from the demons in the head, you can read more about them here: voices.yahoo.com/american-chess-champions-mental-illness-5897048.html and here
What was going on with these folks? Here are some suggestions of what can cause mental disruption:
FEAR= creates a negative mental cycle
Environment may cause this as well, no support system, hurtful words from others, failed expectations.
Changing the thoughts to survival mode rather than fear can be helpful and sometimes medication can help as the serration in the brain seems to be related to negative thinking as well.
Consider the demons in your head and if they are real, or can you conquer them? Can you be above the fear?
Write down some of your greatest fears. Share with the board the negative fear and the opposite. YOU may find that you CAN conquer them and that you will be victorious in your fight against fear.
